Meanwhile, described as ‘one of the finest finger pickers and slide guitarists of our time’, Martin Simpson has the rare gift of skilfully augmenting simple songs with both subtlety and astonishing fretboard harmonics. First coming to prominence in the 70s through his collaborations with violinist Stephane Grappelli, Martin Taylor has long been established as a player of international repute.
