Breastfeeding Welcome

Originally commissioned to design a logo for the Breastfeeding Welcome campaign, we were then requested to design and produce training manuals, award certificates, window stickers, folders and several public facing leaflets, posters and flyers for a Scotland wide roll-out.

Breastfeeding is a key public health measure that can have enormous benefit to the health of both the mother and the child, yet rates in Glasgow remain amongst the lowest in Scotland. The Breastfeeding etc (Scotland) Act 2005 has now been introduced. This Act makes it an offence to prevent or stop a child who is permitted to be in a public place or licensed premises from being fed milk in that place or on those premises.

It is expected that the Breastfeeding Welcome campaign, through its strong visual presence, will be the foundation through which negative attitudes towards breastfeeding in public can be changed.
